PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS' MEETING
MINUTES
OCTOBER 1, 2012
The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz and Chris Cameron were present. Keith Muir was absent. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were no Guest Speakers.
There were no Citizens Comments.
The Board approved the minutes of the September meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was made by
Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Shultz moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $23,885.50.
General Fund $714.32; State Fund $23,171.18. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
Under Unfinished Business, due to the cool weather and both truck beds breaking, Mr. Shultz made a motion to cease the tar and chipping process for 2012 and start earlier next year. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
The Green Township Supervisors have offered a tire and rim that will fit our Ford truck for the price of $450. Mr. Shultz moved to buy the tires at that price. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion passed.
There was one order of New Business, Mr. Cameron ask the Board if they would agree to require the Roadmaster to attend the monthly meetings. He explained that the presents of the Roadmaster would be beneficial to both the supervisors and the road crew. Mr. Cameron also suggested the township pay the Roadmaster $25 per meeting. Mr. Shultz moved to require the Roadmaster to attend monthly supervisors meetings at $25 per meeting and also pay the same to any road crew member who wants to attend. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Under Announcements Trick or Treat is scheduled for Sunday October 28th 4:00 thru 6:00. Residents wishing to give out treats, please turn on porch light. As with previous years all residents participating must park their cars and walk through towns. Only go to homes where the porch light is on. .
Mr. Shultz then moved to Adjourn the October Meeting. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried. The October Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:30.
