Pine Township
May 5th, 2014 Minutes
The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Keith Muir and Chris Cameron were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
Guest Speaker was Brian Buzard from Municipal Engineering Services. He explained the Company to the Supervisors and hoped they would consider using their services in the future.
There were no Citizens Comments.
The Board approved the minutes of the April meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $ 2,574.96
General Fund $1,092.81; State Fund $1,479.15. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by
Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Under Unfinished Business Mr. Shultz reported the road inspection had been completed. It is the Supervisors estimate that 7.2 miles of road will need to be tarred and chipped this summer. Mr. Shultz made a motion to advertise for 720 ton of #8 stone and 21,600 gallons of CRS2. Motion was seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement.
New Business began with a request for two holding tanks to be used by a one room school house located on Route 403 Hwy North in Strongstown. Mr. Muir motioned to approve the request. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Resolutions 0505214 and 0506214 passed with all Supervisors in agreement. The last order of new business was a request for an amendment to Ordinance #44 by Emergency Management, Indiana County. Mr. Muir motioned to approve the amended Ordinance as #48 and vote for adoption on June 2nd at the next regular meeting. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement. The proposed ordinance will be on the township website.
Announcements were read by Mr. Shultz. Spring Clean up is being held May 16th, 17th and 18th. Election Day is May 20th, 2014.
Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the May Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion.
Motion carried. The May Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:30PM.
