The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Keith Muir and Chris Cameron were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

There were no Guest Speakers.

There were no Citizens Comments.

The Board approved the minutes of the October meeting.  A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron.  Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board.  A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. 

Bills were reviewed.  Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $11,482.10
General Fund $9,840.33; State Fund $1,641.77. Mr. Cameron seconded.  Motion carried.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by
Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron.  Motion carried.


Under Unfinished Business the Board of Supervisors advertised for 1000 tons of PENDOT approved antiskid. The following bids were received:

  • Brawley Trucking, Carrolltown, PA             $11.49     $18.49
  • Homer Sleek and Sons, Johnstown, PA                    $15.45
  • New Enterprise Stone, New Enterprise, PA               $18.60
  • Ridge Limestone, Inc., Saltsburg, PA                       $21.90
  • Tom Ritchey Transport, Northern Cambria, PA    $12.49    $20.30

The Supervisors removed two bids due to improper bidding procedure. They then accepted the lowest price with was Homer Sleek and Sons from Johnstown, PA . Mr. Muir motioned, Mr. Cameron seconded.  Motion passed with all supervisors in agreement.


The Supervisors also requested for bids for a tractor. Only one bid was received. Mr. Shultz, after reading the specifications, motioned to purchase the tractor from Manor Motors for $50,500.  Mr. Cameron seconded the motion.  Mr. Muir abstained. Motion passed.


Under New Business   the Supervisors were presented with 2015 Budget. Total revenues expected are $506,689 and total expenditures expected are $336,376.  Mr. Muir motioned to accept and advertise the budget for public inspection, Mr. Cameron seconded.  Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement..


Although not on the Agenda Mr. Muir, in his roll of Fire Chief, ask the Supervisors for $8,000 to help pay bills at the Pine Township Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Shultz motioned to give the money to the Fire Company stating the Supervisors are responsible for fire protection. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion passed.

There were no announcements.


Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the November Meeting.  Mr. Muir seconded the motion. 
Motion carried.  The November Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:28 PM.
