PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING

  MARCH 2015

The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Keith Muir and Chris Cameron were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

There were two Guest Speakers. First was Aaron Jones from Indiana Insurance. He brought the township a check for $2755. This is a rebate of sorts for not having any claims. It will be returned to the General Fund account. The second guest speaker was Neil Stuchell from the Cherry Tree Police Department. Mr. Stuchell came at the request of the Supervisors. He explained the process to have the Cherry Tree PD police Pine Township. A question and answer session took place. The Supervisors tabled the discussion till next meeting.

There were no Citizens Comments.

The Board approved the minutes of the February meeting.  A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir.  Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board.  A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. 

Bills were reviewed.  Mr. Shultz moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $6,934.42

General Fund $5,622.76; State Fund $1,311.66. Mr. Cameron seconded.  Motion carried.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by

Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir.  Motion carried.

There was no Unfinished Business.

Under New Business, Supervisors passed Ordinance 49, authorizing the participation of Pine Township in the PSATS Unemployment Compensation Group. Pine Township has been a member for many years but due to new regulations must pass an Ordinance.  Mr. Shultz motion to pass the Ordinance, Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement.

Also under new business, Mr. Cameron motioned to set May 15th, 16th and 17th, for Spring Clean Up. Mr. Muir seconded the motion.  Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement.

Announcements

Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the March Meeting.  Mr. Muir seconded the motion. 

Motion carried.  The March Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
