The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were no Guest Speakers, although Pine Township’s new solicitor David Serene attended the meeting to meet with all the Supervisors and familiarize himself with the township in general.
Under Citizens Comments there were several complaints about the tax reassessment.
The Board approved the Minutes of the July meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $5,444.08.
General Fund $2,712.14; State Fund $2,731.94. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
The Police Report for July 2015 was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by
Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
There was no Unfinished Business.
Under New Business a request from several residents to send a letter to Indiana County Commissioners stating the new tax assessment was unfair and needed to be repealed. Mr. Muir made a motion to send a letter, Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The second order of business was the advertisement for 1000 tons of PENDOT approved antiskid. Mr. Muir moved to advertise, Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
Announcements
Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the August Meeting. Mr. Shultz seconded the motion.
Motion carried. The August Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:45PM.
