The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were no Guest Speakers.
Citizens Comments were once again complaints concerning the water on Tipperary Road. Mr. Shultz told the residents we have requested information from ICMSA, but have not yet received anything. He said he understood their frustration having to pay for a service that is not functioning properly.
The Board approved the Minutes of the March meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $2,596.78
General Fund$2,596.78; State Fund $0. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
The Police Report for March 2016 with March incidents, was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Supervisors’ Discussion consisted of two topics. A meeting scheduled with a grant writer concerning the DCNR grant for the Pine Township Park. Also the water problems facing the residents on Tipperary Road.
Unfinished Business consisted of a vote of the Supervisors declining to enter into a consulting agreement with a Grant Writing firm. After a discussion, reviewing the agreement the Supervisors felt applying for a grant would cost the township more than just buying new playground equipment. Mr. Cameron then requested the Township write a letter to the Fire Company requesting they sell us the park grounds instead of the lease we now have. Motion was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion passed with all Supervisors were in agreement.
New Business consisted of a motion by Mr. Shultz advertise for the tar and chip materials for 2016. The bid will consist of 40,000 gallons of CRS-2 and 1000 ton of #8 stone. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement.
Mr. Shultz Announced Spring Clean Up will be held May 13th, 14th, and 15th, from 7 AM to
7 PM.
Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the April Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion.
Motion carried. The April 2016 Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
