The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz was absent. Chris called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
Mr. Duffalo from ICMSA and Mr. Emerson from Gibson Thomas Engineering were Guest Speakers.
Citizens Comments were concerning water problems on Tipperary Road.
The Board approved the Minutes of the October 2016 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $17,073.32; General Funds $6,646.89, State Funds $10,426.43. Mr. Cameron seconded, motion carried.
The Police Report was reviewed. Mr. Muir moved accept the report. Mr. Cameron seconded, motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
There was no Unfinished Business.
Under New Business, the Supervisors were presented with the 2017 Budget. Total Revenues $407,100 Total Expenditures $457,370. The Estimated Reserves from 2016 are $230,656. The Budget includes an increased tax rate from .03 mils to 1mil, which will be the first in 15 years. The purposed rate is equal to .01cent per $100 of assessment. Mr. Muir motioned to advertise the 2017 Budget. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.
There were Public Comments pertaining to the water on Tipperary Road.
There were no Announcements.
Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The November Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
