The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were no Guest Speakers.
The Board approved the Minutes of the November meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $2,379.86
General Funds $2,379.86, State Funds $0. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $325,251.76 and State Fund $259,907.19.
These balances do not reflect the ARPA funds.
The Police Report was reviewed A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Supervisors Discussed a dilapidated home on 3rd Ave in Heilwood and improving the lights in the meeting room.
The Unfinished Business consisted or the passing of Resolution 2021-221 which establishes the tax rate for 2022. The tax rate will remain 1 mil on real estate and $5 per capita. Mr. Cameron moved to pass the resolution; Mr. Muir seconded. Resolution passed with all Supervisors in agreement.
Next Mr. Cameron moved to pass resolution 2021-123 which appropriates specific sums estimated to be required for the purpose of general government in 2022. Mr. Shultz seconded. Resolution passed with all Supervisors in agreement. The 2022 Budget is set at a total revenue of $965,158 and total expenditures at $612,750. The totals reflect all funds. All Supervisors in agreement.
New Business contained a motion to hire Mason Construction to replace lights in the meeting room with LED lights and to add a fan. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement.
There were no Public Comments.
An Announcement was made requesting residents to fill out a survey by phone or one line. They are collecting information about internet access.
Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the December Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The December Meeting was adjourned at 7:20 PM.
