The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz and Keith Muir were present. Chris Cameron was absent. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were no Guest Speakers.
The Board approved the Minutes of the March 2024 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Shultz moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $5,308.02.
General Funds $2,674.76, State Funds $2,633.26. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $664,205.33 and State Fund $468,320.97.
The Police and the Roadmaster’s Reports were reviewed. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
The Supervisors Discussed Spring Clean-Up scheduled for June 7th, 8th & 9th from 7 am – 7 pm.
2010 International truck was placed on Municibid with a reserve price of $50,000 to see what they could get out of it: highest bid was $21,500. Hunter Trucks wants 2005 International truck traded for 2025 Peterbilt by mid-April. Discussed Titan estimate for telehandler with pallet fork attachment to install veteran banners, proposal from Clymer Boro to provide police service, selling hydraulic road broom. Listed under discussion, should have been under new business, was an update on the progress of the new countywide emergency services authority.
There was no Unfinished Business
New Business consisted of a motion by Mr. Shultz to list the pull behind hydraulic road broom on Municibid. Seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
A motion was made to renew a contract with Comcast to serve Pine Township for the next 10 years. Motion to renew the contract was made by Mr. Muir. Mr. Shultz seconded. Motion carried.
Other new business consisted of an update on the progress of the new countywide emergency services authority along with a motion to table the any vote to advertise final approved Ordinance No.52, which would delegate the administration of emergency medical services for Pine Township to the Authority (once operational) and appoint a representative to serve on a District committee that will have a direct say in the operation of the Authority. More discussion and details are needed. Motion by Mr. Shultz, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
Public Comments: Jennifer Lindahl expressed her concerns about the playground needing maintenance.

Mr. Shultz then moved to Adjourn the April Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The April 2024 meeting was adjourned 7:37 PM. Attendees: See attached list
