The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz and Chris Cameron were present. Keith Muir was absent. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.
There were no Guest Speakers
The Board approved the Minutes of the November 2024 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Shultz, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Shultz moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $9,501.65.
General Funds $4,357.47, State Funds $5,144.18. Mr. Cameron seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $393,017.14 and State Fund $463,005.64.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Shultz,
seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Supervisors Discussed the LSA grant to replace the Ford F550.
Unfinished Business consisted of an update for the countywide new emergency services authority. They are still working to establish the annual cost. Blanket ordinances have been sent to share with solicitors. The ordinance was emailed to the solicitor for review on November 6, 2024. There was no response from Mr. Serene. The next order of new business consisted of a motion to accept and pass resolution #2024-1127, stating the Pine Township Supervisors are requesting a Statewide Local Share Assessment grant of $151,500 from the Commonwealth Financing Authority to be used for purchasing a new truck. Motion to accept and pass by Mr. Shultz. Seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. The final order of unfinished business consisted or the passing of Resolution 2024-1222 which establishes the tax rate for 2025. The tax rate will remain 1 mil on real estate and $5 per capita. Mr. Cameron moved to pass the resolution; Mr. Shultz seconded. Motion carried. Next Mr. Cameron moved to pass resolution 2024-122 which appropriates specific sums estimated to be required for the purpose of general government in 2025. Mr. Shultz seconded. Resolution passed and 2025 budget was enacted with Supervisors in agreement. The 2025 Budget is set at a total revenue of $1,291,498 and total expenditures at $571,700. The totals reflect all funds.

Mr. Shultz then moved to Adjourn the December meeting. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried. The December meeting was adjourned at 7:18PM.
