The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron, and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were no Guest Speakers
The Board approved the Minutes of the September 2024 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Shultz, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Shultz moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $20,369.16.
General Funds $20,369.16, State Funds $0. Mr. Cameron seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $329,343.54 and State Fund $473,982.50.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Muir,
seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
The Supervisors Discussed complaints regarding burning in Alverda and Trick or Treat. The Supervisors also discussed Mr. Shultz’s request to purchase a debris blower for the tractor and shared a flyer of a cyclone PTO high speed blower. He is waiting to hear back from the rep to receive a quote.
Unfinished Business consisted of an update for the countywide new emergency services authority.
No new update. They are still working to establish the annual cost.
Other unfinished business consisted of opening bids for 500 ton of PennDOT approved anti-skid.
Bid Results: Neiswonger $25.15, Windber Stone LLC $36.18, Homer Sleek & Sons $29.48,
Derry Stone & Lime Co $26.90, Brawley Trucking $30.00. Motion to accept low bid from
Neiswonger at $25.15/ton by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
New Business consisted of a motion by Mr. Muir to schedule trick or treat on Sunday, October 27th from 4 pm – 7 pm. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There were no Public Comments.
Announcements: Pine Twp VFC sub sale this Saturday, October 12th
Fall Clean-Up Saturday, October 12th & Sunday, October 13th from 8 AM– 5 PM.
Mr. Shultz then moved to Adjourn the October meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The October meeting was adjourned 7:29 PM.
