The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:10 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron, and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
Guest Speaker was Mr. Emerson from Gibson Thomas Engineering. Mr. Emerson provided information regarding an upcoming water project on School Road. He was inquiring whether a permit would be needed. He was informed by the Supervisors that no permit would be needed to cross the township right of way and open cut the road. Mr. Emerson notified the Supervisors that for future new public water lines, a mandatory township wide ordinance will be required.
The Board approved the Minutes of the August 2024 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $13,084.78.
General Funds $10,940.75, State Funds $2,144.03. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $335,598.07 and State Fund $473,982.50.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Shultz,
seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Supervisors Discussed fall clean up, status of the 2024 Peterbilt truck, damage to Camerons Bottom Road from the heavy rain we received in August. Mr. Shultz stated Green Township is currently using our tractor to mow, theirs has been broken down. We are going to borrow Cherryhill Township boom mower.
Unfinished Business consisted of an update for the countywide new emergency services authority.
Jeff Gromley held an EMS Authority Meeting with district 4 representatives on August 28, 2024. Copies of the meeting minutes were provided and reviewed by the supervisors.
A $500 bid was placed on the hydraulic broom for sale on Municibid. Mr. Shultz moved to accept the bid even though the $750 reserve was not met. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried.
New Business consisted of a motion by Mr. Muir to schedule fall clean-up on Saturday, October 12th & Sunday, October 13th from 8 am – 5 pm. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Shultz then moved to advertise for 500 tons of PennDOT approved anti-skid. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement.
There were no Public Comments.

Mr. Shultz then moved to Adjourn the September meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The September meeting was adjourned 7:49 PM.
